Euskadi Irratia (Basque Country, Spain)

1476 kHz.  Received at near London, UK.

27-Feb-2012, Local Time – 02:59 AM (0259 UTC), Language: Basque

Receiver: Microtelecom Perseus    Antenna: Delta Loop-10 (Indoor)

When I sweeped the MW band, I encountered a broadcast which I could not recognize its language.  Later, searching WRTH, I found that it is from Basque Country in Spain.  The language sounds very unique.  “Euskadi Irratia” = Basque Radio.   In the recording, right after the time signal you can hear “Goizeko laurak dira,” which means “It is 4 o’clock in the morning,”  then followed by an announcement like “Euskadi Irratiko informazio…..Albisteak (= News).”
